A few useful hacks to make the WordPress dashboard match your blog theme, add a link for submitting a new post and a few other things.

HTML Color Chart

Our HTML Color Chart displays all combinations of 140 well-known HTML colors. Clicking on a color will display the color name as well as the RGB value. We've even provide a sort feature so you can browse the colors from different perspectives.

SpamFilter

spamfilter.py helps filter spammers that circumvent firewall rules by going through an offsite backup mail server.

DatePicker and DateEdit

DatePicker and DateEdit are Swing components that let the Java programmer easily add calendar functionality to a user interface.

backup2disk

A tar-based disk backup utility inspired by one of the scripts we found on the Internet. It supports three levels of backups, provides email notification and more. We've been using it in production for about a month without any glitches. For more information, see the overview.

mpeg2 Multiplexer (In progress)

A windows-based program for creating mpeg program streams from elementary video and audio streams. In lay terms, we need the multiplexer to transform the files on our customized TIVO into a format that can be recorded on CD/DVD and played back on a PC. We found one implementation on the Internet, but it has a 2Gb limit (about one hour playing time), so we're rolling our own. Development is going well but it's tedious; we expect to be posting source and binaries for download within the coming month.
